‘The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete’ is one of the most highly anticipated films of the fall, boasting an all-star cast including Anthony Mackie, Jennifer Hudson, Jeffrey Wright and Jordin Sparks. The film, directed by George Tillman Jr. and featuring music by Alicia Keys, is the coming-of-age story of two inner-city kids separated from their mothers for a summer. Faced with more than any child can be expected to bear, the resourceful Mister nevertheless feels he is an unstoppable force against seemingly unmovable obstacles.
