1. SPONSOR. This Sweepstakes is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U,’ whose corporate address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661 (the "Sponsor").
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win the Sweepstakes, and purchase does not increase the odds of winning. The Sweepstakes begins Monday, May 6, 2013 10:00 PM CST and ends Saturday, May 11, 2013 10:29 PM CST unless extended by ‘WCIU, The U.’ Entrants have the chance to win one (1) of four (4) Rules of Engagement/King of Queens show gift bags or one (1) trip to New York City to the premiere of ‘Grown Ups 2’ on July 10, 2013 (the “Prize”) via the ‘Rules of Engagement/King of Queens Watch & Win’ Sweepstakes. To participate, viewers must watch either Rules of Engagement weeknights at 10:00 PM or The King of Queens weeknights at 10:30 PM during the Sweepstakes period on ‘WCIU, The U’ for their chance to win. Each day one (1) Code Word of the Day will be shown during the 10:00 PM CST broadcast of Rules of Engagements and one (1) Code Word of the Day will be shown during the 10:30 PM broadcast of The King of Queens. To enter the Sweepstakes, viewers must submit the correct Code Word by 9:59 PM the following day for Rules of Engagement and 10:29 PM for King of Queens. Only one (1) entry per person, per Code Word, per email address, per day will be accepted. Five (5) winners will be selected using a computer software winner selection tool from all eligible entries.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated entries, including due to technical/network failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.
Entrants agree not to upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, Easter eggs, worms, Trojan Horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves the rights to seek damages from any person who makes such attempt(s).
Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by an individual or authorized account holder of an e-mail address shall be determined by ‘WCIU, The U’ in its sole discretion, and ‘WCIU, The U’ reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.
3. ELIGIBILITY. The ‘Rules of Engagement/King of Queens Watch & Win’ Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who live in the Chicagoland television viewing area (as defined by A.C. Nielsen) and are 21 years of age or older. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., Sony Pictures Television, and their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win.
4. PRIZES. Four (4) winners will each receive one (1) Rules of Engagement/King of Queens show gift bag including show DVDs, and a copy of ‘Grown Ups,’ valued at $160. One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two (2) to New York City for the premiere of ‘Grown Ups 2’ on July 10, 2013, valued at $3,150. The grand prize includes round trip coach class air transportation from Chicago to New York City, two (2) nights in a standard hotel accommodations, two (2) tickets to the Grown Ups 2 premiere in New York City. Winner and guest will arrive in New York on July 9, 2013 and depart July 11, 2013. The first winner selected will win the Grand Prize; the subsequent four (4) will win a show gift bag. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries. Once notified, the winners will have three (3) business days to claim their Prize. If a winner fails to claim their Prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the Prize and a new drawing may be held from the remaining eligible entries at the discretion of ‘WCIU, The U.’ Prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. These Prizes are non-transferable and the travel dates cannot be changed. Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the Prize provider. Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary. Winner may be required to use a valid, major credit card to have on file at the hotel for incidentals. There will be no substitute or cash redemption awarded to any Sweepstakes winner. All income and other taxes are the responsibility of the winners. By entering, the winners are consenting to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. Winners are responsible for income and other taxes on the Prizes. Winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and Letter of Indemnification within 24 hours of notification of being a winner. Prize winners must complete a W-9 form. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Sweepstakes may result in a forfeiture of Prize.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U,’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer, telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U,’ where it becomes impracticable to award one or more prizes, ‘WCIU, The U,’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of these official Sweepstakes rules are available at the ‘WCIU, The U’ offices located at 26 N. If you wish to receive the names of Sweepstakes Prize winners, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘Rules of Engagement/King of Queens Watch & Win’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any request for the winners’ names no later than November 5, 2013.
