1. SPONSOR. This Contest is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U,’ whose corporate address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661 (the "Sponsor").
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win one (1) trip to the RIU Playacar in Riviera Maya, Mexico or a daily prize of one (1) $100 Marathon gas card. ‘Judge Mathis Contest begins Monday, February 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM and ends Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1:59 PM unless extended by ‘WCIU, The U.’ To participate, viewers must watch ‘Judge Mathis’ weekdays at 2:00 PM during the Contest period on ‘WCIU, The U’ for their chance to win. Each day, two (2) Code Words of the Day will be shown during the 2:00 PM broadcast of ‘Judge Mathis.’ To enter the Contest, viewers must submit at least one (1) of the two (2) correct Code Words by 1:59 PM the following day. Only one (1) entry per person, per email address, per day will be accepted. 21 winners will be selected using a computer software winner selection tool from all eligible entries.
3. ELIGIBILITY. ‘Judge Mathis Watch & Win’ Contest is open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who live in the Chicagoland television viewing area (as defined by A.C. Nielsen) and are 21 years of age or older. A valid passport is needed for travel. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., New Lenox Travel, Riu Resorts, FunJet Vacations, Marathon Gas and their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win.
4. PRIZES. ‘WCIU, The U,’ New Lenox Travel, FunJet Vacations and Marathon Gas guarantee that one (1) winner will be awarded an all-inclusive trip for two (2) adults for four (4) nights at the RIU Palace Playacar in Riviera Maya, Mexico valued at $2,800. 20 winners will win one (1) $100 Marathon Gas card, valued at $100. The first winner selected from all eligible entries will win the grand prize; the following 20 will be Marathon gas card winners. Winners are selected from each 24 hour period after the broadcast of each day’s code word. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries. Once notified, the winners will have three (3) business days to claim their Prize. If a winner fails to claim their Prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the Prize and a new drawing may be held from the remaining eligible entries at the discretion of ‘WCIU, The U.’ Prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. These Prizes are non-transferable and travel must be completed by the date indicated on the Prize voucher and terms & conditions. Prize dates can only be extended by New Lenox Travel, FunJet Vacations or Riu Resorts. The grand Prize winner and their travel companion must have a valid passport and be 21 years of age or older at the time of Prize acceptance. Prizes are subject to black-out dates and terms and conditions of the Prize provider. There will be no substitute or cash redemption awarded to any Contest winner. All income and other taxes are the responsibility of the winners. By entering, the winners are consenting to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. Winners are responsible for income and other taxes on the Prizes. Winners and their travel companion will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and Letter of Indemnification within three (3) business days of notification of being a winner. Prize winners must complete a W-9 form. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Contest may result in a forfeiture of Prize.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U,’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer, telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U,’ where it becomes impracticable to award one or more prizes, ‘WCIU, The U,’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize. This Contest is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of these official Contest rules are available at the ‘WCIU, The U’ offices located at 26 N. If you wish to receive the names of Contest Prize winners, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘Judge Mathis Watch & Win to RM – Feb’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any request for the winners’ names no later than September 20, 2013.
