1. SPONSOR. This Sweepstakes is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U’ whose address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661.
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win the Sweepstakes, and purchase does not increase the odds of winning. The Sweepstakes begins Monday, January 21, 2013 12:00 AM and ends Thursday, January 24, 2013 12:00 PM CST unless extended by ‘WCIU, The U.’ Persons wishing to enter the Sweepstakes may do so at WCIU.com and complete an online form to register for a chance to win two (2) tickets to see Lord of the Dance at the Akoo Theatre, March 2, 2013 at 7:00 PM CST, an overnight stay at the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare and dinner for two (2) at Fresno 21. Only one (1) entry per person, per email address, per day (12 AM – 11:59 PM CST) will be accepted. If multiple entries are received from one entrant in any given day during the Sweepstakes period, that day’s entries for that particular entrant will not be accepted. Five (5) winners will be selected at random from all online entries using a computer software winner selection tool. Four (4) winners will receive two (2) tickets to Lord of the Dance and one (1) grand prize winner will receive two tickets to Lord of the Dance, an overnight stay for two (2) at the InterContinental O’Hare Chicago and dinner for two (2) at Fresno 21.
3. ELIGIBILITY. The Sweepstakes is only open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who are 21 years of age or older. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ the Akoo Theatre, InterContinental O’Hare Chicago, Fresno 21, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members are not eligible to enter or win. Entrants are not able to win more than one (1) time during this Sweepstakes. This promotion is void where prohibited by law.
4. PRIZE. ‘WCIU, The U,’ the Akoo Theatre, Intercontinental O’Hare Chicago and Fresno 21 guarantee that four (4) winners will receive two (2) tickets to see Lord of the Dance at the Akoo Theatre on March 2, 2013 at 7:00 PM CST, retail value of $145 and one (1) grand prize winner will receive two (2) tickets to see Lord of the Dance at the Akoo Theatre on March 2, 2013 at 7:00 PM CST, one (1) overnight weekend stay in a standard room at the InterContinental O’Hare Chicago, and dinner for two (2) at Fresno 21, retail value of $455. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of Sweepstakes entries. One (1) grand prize winner and four (4) winners will be selected and notified on Thursday, January 24, 12pm CST. The winners will be selected by random drawings from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes period. Any selected winner who cannot be contacted by 4 PM CST to confirm their selection after an initial phone call to the number listed on their entry will be disqualified and an alternate entrant will be selected by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries and notified. The Prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. The Prizes are non-transferable and will be delivered no later than five (5) days from the date that such Prize is awarded at the expense of Weigel Broadcasting Co. to the winner via UPS Ground with signature required. There will be no substitutes or cash redemptions awarded to the Sweepstakes winners. By entering, the winners shall consent to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for on-air announcements, advertising and promotional purposes related to the Sweepstakes, without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. The winners are responsible for income and other taxes on their Prize. The winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Letter of Indemnification upon receipt of their Prize. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Sweepstakes may result in a forfeiture of their Prize. The Winners have seven (7) business days to return all requested identification and release forms. After this time period, the Prize may be revoked and a new winner may be drawn from all eligible entries.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer or telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U’ where it becomes impracticable for ‘WCIU, The U’ to award the Prize, ‘WCIU, The U’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize or any Prizes at all. ‘WCIU, The U’ is not responsible for replacing the Prize as a result of events beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U.’ This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. Any attempt by any participant to bypass these rules by the use of alias email addresses, illegitimate identities, registrations or logins, or any other scheme will void that participant's entry/entries and may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. If you wish to receive the name of the Sweepstakes Prize winner, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘WCIU, The U,’ ‘You & Me & Lord of the Dance giveaway – Sweepstakes Winners,’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any such request for the winners’ names no later than April 26, 2013.
