1. SPONSOR. This Contest is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U’ whose address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661.
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win the Contest. The Contest begins Friday, November 23, 2012 12:00 AM and ends Monday, December 10, 2012 12:00 PM unless extended by ‘WCIU, The U.’ Persons wishing to enter the Contest may do so at WCIU.com and complete an online form and submit (1) photo in JPEG format (3 MB in size or less) and one (1) brief description explaining in 300 words or less why they should be chosen to watch a live ‘You & Me This Morning’ broadcast with one (1) guest at an upcoming live broadcast of ‘You & Me This Morning.’ Only one (1) entry per person, per email address, per day will be accepted. Ten (10) winners will be selected from all online entries. Winning entrants will be determined based on ‘WCIU, The U’s judgment of the submissions.
3. ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is only open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who are 18 years of age or older and live in the Chicagoland television viewing area (as defined by A.C. Nielsen Co.). Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., each of their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members are not eligible to enter or win.
4. PRIZE. ‘WCIU, The U’ guarantees that ten (10) winners will receive two (2) tickets to the December 12, 2012 live broadcast of ‘You & Me This Morning’ and two (2) station gift bags valued at $100 each. The total prize value is $200 per winner. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of Contest entries. Ten (10) winners will be selected between Tuesday, December 4 and Monday, December 10, 2012 from all eligible entries. Any selected winner who cannot be immediately contacted on preceding date to confirm their selection after an initial phone call to the number listed on their entry will be disqualified and an alternate contestant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries and notified. The Prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize as well as gain entry to the event.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. The Prizes are non-transferable. The Event will be held at ‘WCIU, The U’s station at 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois. Parking is not included in the Prize. There will be no substitutes or cash redemptions awarded to the Contest winners. By entering, the winners shall consent to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes related to the Contest, without additional consideration. Additionally, winners and their guests understand that they must be at the event location and checked in no later than 5:30 AM on the day of the event or they will not gain entry and forfeit their spot in the audience as well as their gift bag(s).
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. The winners are responsible for income and other taxes on their Prize. The winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Letter of Indemnification upon receipt of their Prize. Guests of the winners will be required to sign a Release of Liability. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Contest may result in a forfeiture of their Prize. The winners and event guests agree that as a participant, they release, hold harmless and indemnify sponsor and their respective parents, divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising, promotion, and public relations agencies, for any liability whatsoever for injuries or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the use, acceptance, possession, use, misuse or awarding of the Prize or while preparing for, participating in and/or traveling to or from any prize- or promotion-related activity, including, without limitation, any injury, damage, death, loss, or accident to person or property. The winners agree that the Prize is provided as-is without any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, whether now known or herein after enacted, relative to the use or enjoyment of the Prize, including, without limitation, its quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer or telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U’ where it becomes impracticable for ‘WCIU, The U’ to award the Prize, ‘WCIU, The U’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize or any Prize et al. ‘WCIU, The U’ is not responsible for replacing the Prize as a result of events beyond the control of the ‘WCIU, The U.’ This Contest is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. If you wish to receive the names of the Contest Prize winners, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘WCIU, The U,’ ‘You & Me This Morning – U Wanna Seat? December 2012’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any such request for the winners’ names no later than February 15, 2013.
