1.SPONSOR: This Contest is sponsored by WCIU, The U whose corporate headquarters address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661.
2.ENTRY. A purchase is not required to win 10 tickets to a Chicago White Sox Game, at U.S. Cellular Field. The contest begins Monday, May 4, 2009, at 6:30PM and ends Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 11:59PM. Specifically, Monday through Friday viewers will watch for their chance to win 10 tickets to a Chicago White Sox game during the 6:30PM broadcast of King of Queens on WCIU, The U. Each day, Monday through Friday a “10-a-Day code word” will be shown during the 6:30PM episode of King of Queens. To win one of the (19) prizes, which consist of a 10 Chicago White Sox game tickets, viewers should go to www.wciu.com and enter the correct “10-a-Day codeword.” Only one entry per person, per email address, per code, per day will be accepted. A total of 19 winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries using a computer software winner selection tool. Due to a baseball pre-emption, the contest will not occur on Monday, May 11, 2009.
3.ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open to all legal residents of the states of Illinois and Indiana only. Winners must be 18 years of age or older and must live in the Chicagoland television viewing area (as defined by A.C. Nielsen Co.). Employees of WCIU, The U, Weigel Broadcasting, U.S. Cellular, and each of their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members are not eligible to enter or to win.
4.PRIZES. There will be nineteen (19) prize winners. Weigel Broadcasting will provide nineteen (19) sets of 10 tickets to a Chicago White Sox Game valued at approximately [$95] per group of 10. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of correct entries. Each winner will have until June 3, 2009 at 5:30PM to claim their prize. If a winner fails to claim the prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the prize and a new drawing may be held from the remaining eligible entries, at the discretion of Weigel Broadcasting. All prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their prize. One winner will be chosen for each day of the contest, May 4 through May 30, 2009 excluding May 11, 2009. Winners will be chosen on a weekly basis. Winners from May 4 through May 8 will be chosen on May 11, 2009. Winners from May 12 through May 15 will be chosen on May 18, 2009. Winners from May 18 through May 22 will be chosen on May 26, 2009. Winners from May 25 through May 29 will be chosen on June 1, 2009.
5.PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. The prizes are non-transferable. Additionally, only one (1) prize will be issued per household. There will be no substitutes or cash redemptions awarded to any of the nineteen (19) Contest winners. By entering, all winners shall consent to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes related to the Contest, without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. All winners are responsible for the payment of income or other taxes on the prize package. All winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Letter of Indemnification by June 3, 2009, 5:30PM. Failure to comply with these Contest rules and conditions may result in a forfeiture of prize awarded.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by WCIU, The U concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer or telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of WCIU, The U where it becomes impracticable for WCIU, The U to award one or more prizes, WCIU, The U may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such prize. This Contest is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of the official Contest rules are available at the WCIU, The U offices located at, 26 N. If you wish to receive the names of Contest prize winners, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to WCIU, The U, 10-a-Day Contest, 26 N Halsted, Chicago, IL, 60661. WCIU, The U must receive any request for winners’ names no later than June 5, 2009, 5:30PM.
