1. SPONSOR. This Contest is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U,’ whose corporate address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661 (the "Sponsor").
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win one (1) trip to Cancun, Mexico or a $100 gas card (the “Prize”) via the ‘Family Guy Cancun Watch & Win’ Contest. The Contest begins Monday, September 12, 2011 6:30 PM and ends Saturday, September 24, 2011 6:29 PM unless extended by ‘WCIU, The U.’ To participate, viewers must watch ‘Family Guy’ weeknights at 6:30 PM during the Contest period on ‘WCIU, The U’ for their chance to win, except on September 14 and September 20 when ‘Family Guy’ will not air due to preempted programming. Each day during the Contest period when ‘Family Guy’ airs, one (1) Code Word of the Day will be shown. To enter the Contest, viewers must submit the Code Word from each day’s broadcast by 6:29 PM the following day. Viewers are able to enter the Code Word from each day’s show for their chance to win a Prize. Only one entry per person, per email address, per day will be accepted. Winners will be selected using a computer software winner selection tool from all eligible entries.
3. ELIGIBILITY. ‘Family Guy Cancun Watch & Win’ Contest is open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who live in the Chicagoland television viewing area (as defined by A.C. Nielsen) and are 21 years of age or older. A valid passport is needed for travel. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., Berwyn Kia, New Lenox Travel, Funjet Vacations, Marathon Oil and their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win.
4. PRIZES. ‘WCIU, The U,’ New Lenox Travel, Funjet Vacations and Marathon Oil guarantee that one (1) Funjet Vacations trip will be awarded, valued at $1,000. The winner of the Funjet Vacation trip will receive accommodations for three (3) nights at a participating resort in Cancun, Mexico for two (2) adults, including round trip airfare from Chicago via a Funjet Vacations charter flight and ground transportation to and from the airport in Mexico. Eight (8) winners will also receive one (1) $100 Marathon gas card, valued at $100. One winner will be selected from each day ‘Family Guy’ airs during the Contest period. The grand Prize winner is eligible to potentially win a $100 Marathon gas card. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries. Once notified, the winners will have three (3) business days to claim their Prize. If a winner fails to claim their Prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the Prize and a new drawing may be held from the remaining eligible entries at the discretion of ‘WCIU, The U.’ Prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. These Prizes are non-transferable and travel must be taken between January 2, 2012 and July 30, 2012. Both the Prize winner and their travel companion must have a valid passport and be 21 years of age or older at the time of Prize acceptance. Prizes are subject to black-out dates and terms and conditions of the Prize provider. There will be no substitute or cash redemption awarded to any Contest winner. All income and other taxes are the responsibility of the winners. By entering, the winners are consenting to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. Winners are responsible for income and other taxes on the Prizes. Winners and their travel companions will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, and Letter of Indemnification within three (3) business days of notification of being a winner. Prize winners must complete a W-9 form. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Contest may result in a forfeiture of Prize.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U,’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer, telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U,’ where it becomes impracticable to award one or more prizes, ‘WCIU, The U,’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize. This Contest is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of these official Contest rules are available at the ‘WCIU, The U’ offices located at 26 N. If you wish to receive the names of Contest Prize winners, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘WCIU, The U,’ ‘Family Guy Cancun Watch & Win,’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any request for the winners’ names no later than December 5, 2011.
