SPONSOR. This Sweepstakes is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U,’ whose corporate address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661 (the "Sponsor").
ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win one (1) of four (4) spa packages or one (1) grand prize VIP spa package at the Elysian Spa at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. ‘You & Me Makeover May’ Sweepstakes begins Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 6:00 AM and ends Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 5:59 AM unless extended by ‘WCIU, The U.’ To participate, viewers must watch ‘You & Me This Morning’ weekdays between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM during the Sweepstakes period on ‘WCIU, The U’ for their chance to win. Each day, one (1) Code Word of the Day will be shown during the broadcast of ‘You & Me This Morning’ at four (4) different times throughout each day’s show. To enter the Sweepstakes, viewers must submit the Code Word by 5:59 AM the following day. Only one (1) entry per person, per email address, per 24 hour period will be accepted (6AM-5:59AM). Five (5) winners will be selected using a computer software winner selection tool from all eligible online entries.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated entries, including due to technical/network failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.
Entrants agree not to upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, Easter eggs, worms, Trojan Horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves the rights to seek damages from any person who makes such attempt(s).
Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by an individual or authorized account holder of an e-mail address shall be determined by ‘WCIU, The U’ in its sole discretion, and ‘WCIU, The U’ reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.
ELIGIBILITY. ‘You & Me Makeover May’ Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who live in the Chicagoland television viewing area (as defined by A.C. Nielsen) and are 21 years of age or older. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., Elysian Spa, Waldorf Astoria Hotel, and their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win.
PRIZES. Four (4) winners will be awarded a spa package at the Elysian Spa at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, located at 11 East Walton, Chicago, Illinois 60611. The first winner will receive a 30 Minute Silk Peel Facial and No-Chip Manicure, retail value $276; the second winner will receive a 30 Minute Silk Peel Facial, Traditional Pedicure & Traditional Manicure, retail value $342; the third selected winner will receive a 30 Minute Silk Peel Facial, 60 Minute Muscle Repair Massage, retail value $444 value; the fourth winner will receive a 30 Minute Silk Peel Facial and Healing Relaxation Body Treatment, retail value $540 value. The grand prize winner will receive a 60 Minute Couples Massage, two (2) Elysian Spa & Health Club Robes & Champagne for two, retail value $990. The winners are selected from all correct eligible entries on the following dates: May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22, 2014. Winners will be selected from all eligible entries within the Sweepstakes period up to each of these four (4) dates. The grand prize winner will be selected from all eligible entries at the end of the Sweepstakes period. Weekly spa package winners are not eligible to win the grand prize. Winners will be first notified via the email address on their entry, followed up by a phone call to the phone number listed on their entry. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries. Once notified, the winners will have 24 hours to claim their Prize. If a winner fails to claim their Prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the Prize and a new drawing may be held from the remaining eligible entries at the discretion of ‘WCIU, The U.’ Prize Winner must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS & CONDITIONS. These Prizes are non-transferable and travel must be completed by the date indicated on the Prize voucher and terms & conditions of the prize provider. Prizes are subject to blackout dates and limited availability. Parking at the hotel is not included. There will be no substitute or cash redemption awarded to any Sweepstakes winner. All income and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner. By entering, the winner is consenting to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration, including any in studio appearances. Grand prize guest must be 21 years of age or older to consume Champagne at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. Winners are responsible for income and other taxes on the Prizes. Winners and their travel companion will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, Publicity Release and Letter of Indemnification within three (3) business days of notification of being a winner. Prize Winners must complete a 1099 form. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Sweepstakes may result in a forfeiture of Prize.
MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U,’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer, telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U,’ where it becomes impracticable to award one or more prizes, ‘WCIU, The U,’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of these official Sweepstakes rules are available at the ‘WCIU, The U’ offices located at 26 N. If you wish to receive the names of Sweepstakes Prize Winner, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘You & Me Makeover May – Winners’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any request for the Winners’ names no later than December 20, 2014.
