1. SPONSOR. This Sweepstakes is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U’ whose address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661.
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win the Sweepstakes, and purchase does not increase the odds of winning. The Sweepstakes begins Monday, October 21, 2013 12:00 AM and ends Friday, October 25, 2013 12:00 PM CDT unless extended by ‘WCIU, The U.’ Persons wishing to enter the Sweepstakes may do so at WCIU.com and complete an online form to register for a chance to win two (2) tickets to see Wicked at the Oriental Theatre on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 7:30 PM CDT. Only one (1) entry per person, per email address, per day (12 AM – 11:59 PM CDT) will be accepted. If multiple entries are received from one entrant in any given day during the Sweepstakes period, that day’s entries for that particular entrant will not be accepted. One (1) winner will be selected at random from all online entries using a computer software winner selection tool.
3. ELIGIBILITY. The Sweepstakes is only open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana within the Chicago DMA who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ the Oriental Theatre, Broadway in Chicago and each of their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members are not eligible to enter or win. Entrants are not able to win more than one (1) time during this Sweepstakes. This promotion is void where prohibited by law. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated entries, including due to technical/network failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.
Entrants agree not to upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, Easter eggs, worms, Trojan Horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves the rights to seek damages from any person who makes such attempt(s).
Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by an individual or authorized account holder of an e-mail address shall be determined by ‘WCIU, The U’ in its sole discretion, and ‘WCIU, The U’ reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.
4. PRIZE. ‘WCIU, The U,’ the Oriental Theatre and Broadway in Chicago, guarantee that one (1) winner will receive two (2) tickets to see Wicked at the Oriental Theatre on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 7:30 PM CDT, a retail value of $140. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of Sweepstakes entries. One (1) winner will be selected and notified on Friday, October 25, 12pm CDT. The winner will be selected by random drawings from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes period. Any selected winner who cannot be contacted by 4 PM CDT to confirm their selection after an initial phone call to the number listed on their entry will be disqualified and an alternate entrant will be selected by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries and notified. The Prize winner must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. The Prizes are non-transferable and will be delivered no later than three (3) days from the date that such Prize is awarded at the expense of Weigel Broadcasting Co. to the winner via UPS Ground with signature required. There will be no substitutes or cash redemptions awarded to the Sweepstakes winner. By entering, the winner shall consent to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for on-air announcements, advertising and promotional purposes related to the Sweepstakes, without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. The winner is responsible for income and other taxes on their Prize. The winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Letter of Indemnification upon receipt of their Prize. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Sweepstakes may result in a forfeiture of their Prize. The Winner has one (1) business day to return all requested identification and release forms. After this time period, the Prize may be revoked and a new winner may be drawn from all eligible entries.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer or telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U’ where it becomes impracticable for ‘WCIU, The U’ to award the Prize, ‘WCIU, The U’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize or any Prizes at all. ‘WCIU, The U’ is not responsible for replacing the Prize as a result of events beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U.’ This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. Any attempt by any participant to bypass these rules by the use of alias email addresses, illegitimate identities, registrations or logins, or any other scheme will void that participant's entry/entries and may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. If you wish to receive the name of the Sweepstakes Prize winner, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘WCIU, The U,’ ‘You & Me & Wicked giveaway – Sweepstakes Winner,’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any such request for the winner’s name no later than January 10, 2014.
