1. SPONSOR. This Sweepstakes is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U,’ whose corporate address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661 ("Sponsor").
2. ENTRY. A purchase is not required to enter or win a family four pack of tickets to the UniverSoul Circus ‘Get Inside UniverSoul Circus’ with ‘WCIU, The U’ Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes begins Monday, September 30, 2013 at 5:00 PM and ends Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 4:59 PM. To participate, viewers will watch ‘omg! Insider’ weekdays at 5:00 PM on ‘WCIU, The U’ for their chance to win. Each day a UniverSoul Circus Code Word of the Day will be shown during the ‘Get Inside UniverSoul Circus’ feature. To enter the Sweepstakes, viewers must submit the correct UniverSoul Circus Code Word of the Day at WCIU.com by 4:59 PM the following day. Only one (1) entry per person, per email address, per day will be accepted. Five (5) winners will be selected using a computer software winner selection tool.
3. ELIGIBILITY. The ‘Get Inside UniverSoul Circus’ with ‘WCIU, The U’ Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who are 18 years of age or older and who live in the Chicagoland television viewing area as defined by A.C. Nielsen. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., UniverSoul Circus and their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win.
Entrants agree not to upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, Easter eggs, worms, Trojan Horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves the rights to seek damages from any person who makes such attempt(s).
Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by an individual or authorized account holder of an e-mail address shall be determined by ‘WCIU, The U’ in its sole discretion, and ‘WCIU, The U’ reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.
4. PRIZES. ‘WCIU, The U’ and UniverSoul Circus guarantee that one (1) winner will be awarded four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 11, 2013 at 7:30 PM, valued at $144; two (2) winners will be awarded four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 12, 2013 at 12:00 PM, valued at $144; two (2) winners will be awarded four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 14, 2013 at 6:30 PM, valued at $124. The first winner selected from all eligible entries will win the four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 11, 2013 at 7:30 PM, the second and third winners selected will win four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 12, 2013 at 12:00 PM, and the fourth and fifth winners select will win four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 14, 2013 at 6:30 PM. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of correct entries. Once notified, the winners will have three (3) business days to claim their Prize. If a winner fails to claim their Prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the Prize and a new drawing may be held from the remaining eligible entries. The Prize winners must possess a valid picture ID to claim their Prize.
WCIU and UniverSoul Circus guarantee that:
- One (1) winner will receive four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 11, 2013 at 7:30 PM.
- Two (2) winners will receive four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 12, 2013 at 12:00 PM.
- Two (2) winners will receive four (4) tickets to the UniverSoul Circus at Union Park on October 14, 2013 at 6:30 PM.
5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. The Prizes are non-transferable and will be delivered no later than three (3) days from the date that such Prize is awarded at the expense of Weigel Broadcasting Co. to the winner via UPS Ground with signature required. Only one (1) Prize will be issued per household. There will be no substitute or cash redemption awarded to any Sweepstakes winner. All income and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner. By entering, the winners are consenting to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
6. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. The winners are responsible for income and other taxes on their Prize. The winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Letter of Indemnification within three (3) business days of notification of being a winner. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Sweepstakes may result in a forfeiture of Prize.
7. MISCELLANEOUS. The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U,’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer, telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U,’ where it becomes impracticable to award one or more prizes, ‘WCIU, The U,’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of these official Sweepstakes rules is available at the ‘WCIU, The U’ offices located at 26 N. If you wish to receive the name of Sweepstakes Prize winners, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘WCIU, The U,’ “Get Inside UniverSoul Circus,” 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any request for the winners’ names no later than January 3, 2014.
